Método: Aplicou-se o Abuse Assessment Screen e utilizaram-se os testes Qui-Quadrado, Exato de Fisher, Teste T e Mann-Whitney. Resultados: A prevalência da violência na gestação foi de 20,6%. O parceiro íntimo foi o agressor em 75% dos casos. A violência associou-se à raça, coabitação, ter parceiro íntimo, ter filhos, número de gestações, uso de drogas, histórico de violência, medo do parceiro e problemas de saúde. Conclusão: O rastreio da violência deve ser incluído no pré-natal para a identificação de casos e dar visibilidade a este fenômeno, que compromete a saúde da gestante e bebê. |
| Abstract: | Objective: Violence against 178 pregnant women in the Federal District. Methods: The Abuse Assessment Screen was applied and the Chi-Square, Fisher’s Exact, T-Test and Mann-Whitney tests were used. Results: The prevalence of violence during pregnancy was 20.6%. The intimate partner was the aggressor in 75% of the cases. Violence was associated with race, cohabitation, having an intimate partner, having children, number of pregnancies, drug abuse, history of violence, fear of the partner and health problems. Conclusions: The screening of violence should be included in prena-tal care to identify cases and give visibility to this phenomenon, which compromises the pregnant women and babies’ health. |
